Meet Jodie

Hi, I'm Jodie! 👩🏻🍳 I started my small business in 2020. At the time I was studying and working in fashion design, when one day I took baked goods in to share with my co-workers and they were so amazed at how delicious the sweets were that they convinced me to start up an Instagram page to sell my bakes!

So ‘A Slice of Jodie’ was born 🤩 Since then I began my apprenticeship as a Pastry Chef and my skills have improved enormously as I learnt and experimented every day. I began specialising in cookies (a recipe which I have perfected over 7 years!) and slices, and eventually ventured into the world of cakes. I love how I can express my creativity through combinations of ingredients, flavours, colours and decorations 🎂

Baking desserts is my whole world. My Nanna was a cake decorator, and my Maltese family name is ‘Tal Forn’ which translates to ‘of the oven’, so baking really runs in the family!
